From Jackie Chan Adventures

Being one of the Eight Immortals, we appear frequently as statues or paintings in China, as well as other locations. This particular statue in Penglai City, Shangdong is one of the most well known and is frequently visited. I, alongside my seven brethren, have appeared in a Taiwanese film by the name of " Sin Diy Hoi Siu Yiu Moh", and this film features our stories. We are featured in numerous paintings as well, sometimes as murals, and other times as stand alone portraits. The cartoon show, Jackie Chan Adventures, features we, the eight immortals, and my appearance in it is notable for being specifically male, rather than ambiguous in gender.

  1. I hope we can all get together soon. It has been so long since my feast when the peach is ripe. I hope to see all of the eight immortals soon. The painting that you put on your blog is beautiful. Everyone seems to be floating on the waves. Do you know who made it?

  2. I hope to see you soon too, it has been a while since the last feast, has it not? On another note, that painting is by a lady by the name of Huang Yi, known for other such works as this one.
