Hello, my name is Lan Caihe, although there are a few other names I go by like Lan-Cai-He, Lan Zaihe, and Lan-T S'ai-Ho. I am the God of Poverty and also one of the Eight Immortals. Most describe me as dressing strangely, but who doesn't wear just one shoe, or happen to have a wooden belt? People always wonder what gender I am, but I struggle to see why. It's not like my clothes are ambiguous when it comes to gender or anything... As to the answer of that question, I'll leave it a mystery! I consider the other Eight Immortals my family members, they being He Xiangu, Cao Guojiu, Li, Tieguai, Lu Dongbin, Han Xiangzi, Zhang Guolao, and lastly our leader Zhongli Quan. In the Summers I wear coats of cotton, and in the Winter I wear pretty much nothing. Is that strange? You're right, it's normal. My powers include being immortal, being able to make songs up on the spot, and I own a giant swan that lets me fly around and stuff. I suppose my only weakness would be my supposed eccentricity; either that or my tendency to be drunk.
